One afternoon, while Anna was at work, Daniel took us to the horse races. They had to dress the part of course. :)

First Days of Vacation
We made a quick decision and left a day earlier than planned for our trip to Hawaii. Thank goodness, because we would have been snowed in and probably never made it out of our house. (Sorry Oklahomans who had to survive the winter storm). Anyway, Hazel and I stayed in Portland with Daniel, Anna and Cora 2 days before we made our way to the beach.

Dressing for the part of the horse races was to funny....poor Hazel probably wondered why Uncle Daniel didn't have his ropers on.....and why did he carry a newspaper and a pencil instead of wire cutters and a bucket.
